Interpreters for events, conferences and business meetings

In simultaneous interpretation, interpreters speak at the same time as the speaker, from a booth or remotely, and the audience listens through receivers or a language channel. It needs a team of two and suits conferences, panels and anything with an audience. In consecutive interpretation, the speaker pauses every few sentences and the interpreter then renders what was said. It needs no equipment and suits meetings, site visits and dinners, but each speech takes roughly twice as long.

We send a compact interpretation kit to your venue and set it up. Our interpreters connect remotely, see the room, hear the speakers clearly and interpret live, and your guests listen on receivers. We test everything before the doors open.

Not with a remote set-up. The interpreters work from their own professional set-up, and in the room you only need a transmitter and receivers. For very large multi-day conferences we can still install a booth.

We test the audio path and the connection before the event, and for important events we run a back-up connection. A technician stays with the equipment during the event.

Yes. Online meetings in Zoom, Teams or similar tools are booked by the hour. For weekly meetings or a series of negotiations we keep the same interpreter where possible, so they learn your people, your product and your vocabulary.

Yes. Face-to-face meetings, factory tours, receptions and dinners are a large part of our work, including VIP and protocol settings. We cover venues across Japan and arrange the interpreter's travel; travel costs are included in your quote.

From a few weeks to many months, including full-time assignments five days a week. If an interpreter is ill or on leave, we arrange a replacement from our roster and brief them on your site and vocabulary, so the work continues.

Two to four weeks ahead is comfortable for most events and meetings. For multi-day conferences, rare languages or busy periods such as a large expo, book six to eight weeks ahead. We often staff requests within a few days, so ask even if your date is close.

Yes. With our partner sound engineers we supply transmitters, receivers, interpreter consoles and booths, and we run the sound on the day. If your venue already has equipment, we work with it.

More than 150 languages through the Oyraa network of over 3,000 interpreters, including pairs without Japanese, such as French and English, and several languages at the same event.

We match interpreters by subject experience, share their profiles before you confirm, and brief them with your slides, scripts and glossary. For simultaneous work we run a sound and connection check before the event starts.

Every interpreter works under a written contract with confidentiality obligations. We sign your NDA on request and share materials only with the interpreters assigned to you.

We invoice in Japanese yen, payable by bank transfer, and work with organizations in Japan and overseas. First-time clients may be asked to pay in advance. Long-term assignments are invoiced monthly. Cancellations or date changes are charged at 30% from five to four business days before, 50% from three to two business days before, and 100% on the day before or the day itself.
